1. Flame retardant FRP sheets are mainly used in steel mills and special occasions with high temperatures, sparks, or flame retardant requirements in blast furnaces.
2. Our current flame retardant series of FRP sheets are divided into two types: first grade flame retardant (F1 grade, oxygen index ≥ 30) and second grade flame retardant (F2 grade, oxygen index ≥ 26).
3. Flame retardant FRP sheets, compared to general FRP sheets, have slightly lower resistance to aging and yellowing due to the presence of flame-retardant components in resin materials. After testing, it was found that after one year, the first level flame-retardant FRP sheet will experience yellowing, while the second level flame-retardant FRP sheet will show slight yellowing (second level flame-retardant is more prone to yellowing than first level), and the yellowing will become more pronounced over time. Overall, flame-retardant FRP sheets are more prone to yellowing than general FRP sheets, but it does not affect the quality. The only difference is that the transmittance will decrease with the increase of service life, and it cannot be guaranteed that the transmittance will only lose 3% -10% during the warranty period. However, yellowing does not mean the end of the lifespan of the FRP sheet, and the mechanical strength and other mechanical properties of the FRP sheet remain basically unchanged, which can still meet its usage requirements. Therefore, the warranty period promised by our company remains unchanged.
